"Concentration is the essence of all knowledge; nothing can be done without it.
Ninety per cent of thought force is wasted by the ordinary human being, and therefore
he is constantly committing blunders; the trained man or mind never makes a mistake.

Where there is a will, there is a way...
|
| Arya Samaj marriage is one of the ways to have a short, simple and not-so-expensive weddings. For our parents, their daughter's marriage becomes a way to redeem their respect and a once in a lifetime opportunity to stand up in society to declare their competence in parenting among other things. I believe that only when our parents find other ways to redeem their respect and live their day to day lives with self-fulfillment, they would automatically look towards other ways to reduce the expenditure. I believe that if we live our day to day lives with self-fulfillment and not have un-affordable marriages for our children, our children will learn from it and break this chain of expenditure. |

Possible Solution(s)

I have heard that Arya Samaj weddings are really simple. (Walk a few times around a fire and the couple is married.)
I was going to suggest 'group weddings' - multiple people getting married in one setting. However, I don't see this flying.
